Lynda Carter To Perform Fallout 4 Songs in Concert

Lynda Carter, best know for her iconic role as Wonder Woman in the 1975 CBS television series by the same name, lent her singing and songwriting skills to Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks for their 2015 post-apocalypstic action role-playing video game, “Fallout 4.”

Carter collaborated with songwriters John Jarvis and Kerry Marx to create 5 original jazz songs for the 5th installment in the game series: “Good Neighbor,” “Train Train,” “I’m the One You’re Looking For,” “Man Enough,” and “Baby It’s Just You.”

All 5 songs are available on iTunes and Carter will now be adding 3 of them to her 2016 live shows in her “Long Legged Woman” tour.

“Good Neighbor” has also been nominated for Best Song – Original or Adapted by The National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers (NAVGTR) . The winner will be announced March 21, 2016.

In a Coffee With Goldstar interview on March 16, 2016, Carter says, “It’s really thrilling … to have been asked to do them, submit them, and then have them be used in a video game.”

“The video game is … post-apocalyptic,” she adds. “The apocalypse happened in the 50s, and then people emerged … a couple of hundred years later, so the music has that flavor … of the 40’s – 50’s music, but the words, of course, are very much futuristic. Talking about the disaster. And they’re very sexy and edgy. It was a blast to do.”

In addition to her music, Carter also provides the voice for Magnolia, a lounge singer in the game.

“Magnolia is quite a woman,” Carter says. “Because it’s a role playing game, you can get quite a few different responses from her. I’ve actually been doing voice overs for video games for quite a few years now and, this time, it’s a real complete character.”

According to International Business Times, “Fallout 4,” which was released in November of 2015, sold 12 million launch-day and pre-order copies and that total represented $750 million in sales for Bethesda through copies … shipped for PC, Microsoft Xbox One, and Sony PlayStation 4. The game itself has received mostly positive reviews from fans and gaming publications, as well as numerous awards and nominations.

Carter’s husband, former Washington D.C. attorney Robert A. Altman, is now Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, LLC. The two were married in 1984.
