The Lost Relic – A Star Wars Story (2023 Fan Film)
While many official Star Wars projects from Lucasfilm since its acquisition by Disney seem to be hit or miss with much of the fan base, the quality of Star Wars fan films has hit an all-new high. With production values rivaling that of major studios, fan films like The Lost Relic: A Star Wars Story are giving audiences new “unofficial” glimpses into parts of the Star Wars universe with a level of care, passion, and authenticity lacking in much of the official content.
The Lost Relic: A Star Wars Story is a short that picks up directly after the events of Return of the Jedi. The official description from Third Gate Production reads, “While the Rebellion celebrates its victory on the moon of Endor, the symbols of the imperial oppression are fading away. But one of them has survived…”
